Our Founder

For over 25 years, I’ve worked in marketing and communications across media, education, finance, travel and law. Throughout every chapter of my career, one passion has followed me everywhere: South Asian fashion.

I’ve spent much of my life travelling to India, a place that feels like a second home, where my family lives and where my love for craftsmanship, colour, and creativity truly grew. Each visit has opened my eyes to the incredible artistry behind South Asian clothing: the handwork, the heritage, the stories woven into every thread. I’ve always believed these pieces deserve a space in the global fashion conversation not just occasionally, not just within our own communities, but proudly and visibly in everyday life.

Yet in the UK, I’ve seen how South Asian fashion can feel niche, expensive, or reserved only for big occasions. I’ve also seen how South Asians themselves aren’t always represented or recognised in mainstream fashion and culture. We created The Luxe Almari because we wanted to change that narrative.

Our vision is simple but powerful:

To make South Asian fashion sustainable, affordable, accessible and mainstream.

A huge part of this mission is showing how South Asian pieces can effortlessly blend into Western wardrobes. From pairing a stunning embroidered jacket with denim, to styling a classic kurta as everyday work wear, we want to help people make their clothes and their investment work harder. South Asian fashion doesn’t need to be saved for special events; it can be worn, loved, and celebrated in the everyday.

The Luxe Almari is our way of honouring our heritage while re-imagining how we wear it today with conscious choices, modern sensibility and inclusive luxury at its core.

Thank you for being here and for joining us on this journey. Together, we can open up the almari and share South Asian fashion with the world, beautifully and boldly.
